Fairlawn Children's Center formed in 1990 when the University of Evansville gave its Children's Center to Fairlawn United Methodist Church. The center is a full time facility, fully insured and licensed by the State of Indiana. In the summer of 2005, Fairlawn Children's Center received its Accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
We are open twelve months per year, Monday through Friday. The center maintains a staff of responsible, fully qualified teachers and assistants. Our staff meet and exceed the qualifications for their positions and the requirements set by the State of Indiana. Along with training and experience in early childhood education, each has an understanding of and compassion for the individual child. Staff are encouraged to further their early childhood education by attending workshops and classes.
